A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE PERINATAL LOSS UNIT

I had the most wonderful support from the perinatal loss unit - thank you so much! You are doing a wonderful job - keep it up!

A NEW BABY AFTER JACQUES

For me, one of the best things was to try for another baby. No,it doesn't replace the baby that you lose, but it sure does help the healing process. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason! I believe that it just wasn't little Jacques' time to come, but we now have a beautiful 4 year old boy. I strongly recommend trying for another baby when something like this happens. And yes, I was petrified during my pregnancy with my 4 year old, but I got through it. Lifes challenges definitely make us stronger.

HELPING OTHERS

I got an email today from someone who read this blog. Her step-daughter recently lost a baby (1 day old) at 32 weeks. She said that reading my blog really helped. It feels good to hear this, as this was my main objective in doing this blog - to help others.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

At the hospital memorial service, they gave us a beautiful Christmas ornament. Each year we hang it on the tree in memory of him. He was born 4 days after Christmas.

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

On his first birthday, my dear friend who had been in the birth with me, came around to my house. She was so sweet, she brought candles, cake and a card. We cried together, but I think it was good. She constantly told me how much the experience had touched her life...that same dear friend, passed away a few years later!

THERE IS ALWAYS A JEWEL IN A CHALLENGE

The challenges that life brings to us always have a gift in them. We just need to find the jewel!

A POEM I COMPOSED FOR JACQUES MICHAEL

I will be strong and carry on, because I know I have an angel beside me.

Thank you for the wonderful gift you have given us, an understanding of the true meaning of life, a time for self-examination and love for all in the universe.

Although my heart is broken, I will be strong and carry on, because I know I have an angel beside me.

I can feel you all around me, your energy so gentle.

Go peacefully on your journey....

I love you!

INSPIRATIONAL EXCERPT

Like I mentioned before, I am fortunate to have many positive people in my life and when I lost the baby, I was sent the following excerpt from Kryon book V11 page 81.

..."We want you to know something that is so critical and so important about these the small ones who come in and die in a family...They place upon you a burden for life, which you call great sorrow. They come in with an overlay that is great, divine and extremely anointed - a task that is called a "gift" for you. Hiding within the seemingly horrible event is a gift that is surrounded not by what they did, but by what you do in response. You see, it is not about their death, they did it for you. You call it sacrifice, but it isn't. That's the wrong word. It's called LOVE. It's an appropriately designed contract - a manifestation of a gift on this planet for you...What have you done with it? Have you been consumed with anger? Guilt? Perpetual grief? We challenge you to look at this event with clearer eyes and start the celebration! We challenge you as Human Beings to have the wisdom to celebrate their birthday and the gift that it was...This service doesn't simply stop at the event of their passing. The potential around the energy created by this special service is awesome! It promotes self-examination. It promotes the search for truth. Within the broken hearts of humans are the seeds of greatness. Within the sorrow and grief of humans is a purity that simply cannot be generated any other way. Many of you will understand and can trace your enlightenment to these kinds of events - where you were finally able to clear away what mattered and what didn't - and find out about the divinity inside".

I put this into every card of Jacques Michael that I sent out...

A SILENT SORROW BEGINS - YES AND NO!

After a normal delivery, one is usually discharged after a 2 night stay, I opted to go home after 1 night. I remember hearing people crying out in labour and I just couldn't take it. As I left, I noticed a dove on my hospital door, my heart just sunk. How was I going to get through this....I felt like I was leaving my baby behind!

LIFE IS A MIRACLE!

Even the tiniest of life is a miracle! I often think of the whole process from seed to human form, it is quite astounding! Whenever a baby is conceived, I believe that it is a little soul that has been knocking at the door to experience human form for however long that may be and for whatever lessons are to be learnt. I am so inspired by Louise L. Hay, many of her books have helped me to look at lifes lessons in a positive way.
